Default Major Problems -- Game Freezing, Crashing, No Text Displaying, and others!

Alright, I hate to ask for help, but I am stumped. First, let me give you a little history:

The game was working flawlessly for me a few days ago. Then, about an hour or so after a new patch was installed, my computer started randomly restarting itsself. I took off the "Automatically Restart" option to see what error messages were being generated. I would randomly(or seemingly so) get one of these three messages:

PFN_LIST_CORRUPT
IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
SYSTEM_POOL_MEMORY_CORRUPT

If I shut my PC down for a few hours I was able to get on and play for a little while with no problems, however this is no longer possible. Today I logged on to do a drake run, when my PC Semi-Froze while loading the mission out of Kryta Gate. What I mean by Semi-Froze is that the mouse would move, but the game was frozen(and I couldn't Alt+Tab, Alt+F4, Esc, etc.).

I then re-installed GW hoping that it would fix my problems. It did, for long enough for me to just get to the drakes when I realize some text isn't showing up. Things that weren't showing up included:

Any chat
Item Names
Some NPC names
Spell Names

Now whenever I log in I am getting the same "No text displaying" error. Also, if I try to go into My Computer, My Documents, etc. I get an error saying "Windows Explorer has encountered a problem...blah blah blah" with the Send Error Report options. Any help? I am pretty much royally screwed here as now I can't access my files.

Here are some of my system specs from Belarc Advisor:

Processor:
2.80 gigahertz Intel Pentium 4
16 kilobyte primary memory cache
256 kilobyte secondary memory cache

Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 (build 2600)

Enclosure Type: Desktop

Main Circuit Board:

Bus Clock: 133 megahertz
BIOS: Phoenix Technologies, LTD 6.00 PG 11/22/2004

Memory Modules:
1024 Megabytes Installed Memory

Slot 'A0' has 512 MB
Slot 'A1' has 512 MB
Slot 'A2' is Empty
Slot 'A3' is Empty

Display:
RADEON 9800 PRO [Display adapter]
RADEON 9800 PRO - Secondary [Display adapter]
DELL 1702FP [Monitor] (17.1"vis, s/n ********** November 2001)

If you need any more specs please just ask. I only included the ones which I thought were important.

Check out this thread that runs all the way up to the present: http://www.hardwareanalysis.com/cont...ic/34265/?o=0] Lots of possibilities to think about in there. Also, as I skimmed it, several people were suspecting problems with the VIA chipset (per your other post), also with XP SP2.

Check this old knowledge base article re Radeon cards and both the IRQL and PFN stop codes: http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;285014 [Twilight Zone music plays]

Seems like a driver or video card issue. It could also be Windows Gone Bad or a hard disk on its way out. First, I would try Driver Cleaner (if the system will let you) and reinstall the drivers if they were formerly working or else try some different drivers, either older ATI drivers or 3P like Omega.

Very interesting problem. Please keep us apprised.

If it's explorer being stupid, I do know of a shell replacement that I like a lot. The only problem with it is that I have trouble trying to get a lot of skins to work (It's probably the way I installed it, which used profiles instead of a singular theme for all users. Some skins want to refer to a set folder that doesn't exist in "profiles" mode)
Explorer only runs when you bring up a window like My Computer or such with it on. It promptly shuts off when no longer needed.

I'll try to get some themes to work later...I'm going to reinstall it in the other config and see if I can get it to work properly. I am using one (friendly extreme) that works alright in my current config.
